    4x4 350ci

    i have a s10 4x4 with no motor and i was wondering if anyone has stuck a 350 into a 4x4 and had the 4 wheel drive all hooked up and how hard it is compared to the 2 wheel drive conversion and what other parts are needed like drive shafts transfer case etc... to make it work.
    '82 slammed orange S10 with a 350 bored .030 , flat top pistons , camshaft with 214 in 224 exh @.050 and .454 lift ,holley street dominator intake ,holley 4 bbl 650 cfm carb...$4000obo

    1996 k1500 350 tbi 4wd singlecab shortbox 3" lift 31"goodyear mt's $6000obo

    1997 zr580 efi 2"x136"track stock mint condition w/reverse $3000obo

    pretty much the only thing diferent it the $250-$300 fuckin ripoff of an oilpan thats about it for the diference

    the oil pan is ripoff, you also gotta watch which headers you buy.
    oh and you can put the motor and trans in at the same time.

    i herd you can use a oil pan from a chevy van 4x4 dont no what year or if it is true

    4x4 and 2x4 350 conversions are the same except you need the different oil pan from the corvette, this is why junk yards are in business... but as far as the rest of the pain in the ass work its no big deal , just watch when you buy headers make sure they will clear.

    with a 4" suspension lift, you can run the stock chevy oil pan, and for exhaust I used the hedman shorty 2 wheel drive headers, just had to trim off the top of the driver side shock tower and box it in. everything else came from a 4.3 4x4 blazer.

    thanks, that is fixing to be my everyday driver. don't really play in the mud anymore, cost too much to fix when something breaks.
