What is the difference between heating a torsion bar and heating a spring? Heated springs dont snap.

Im not saying he should do it. Just asking

when you heat the springs the coils just loose the space between so they are resting on top of each other and it gives some support for the weakend part the was heated, and heated coil springs can snap by they way you probably jsut wouldnt notice it untill you took the spring out, when a torsion bar snaps you go to the ground

the torsion bar has like a pressure twist on it and when you heat it red hot all around the whole rod to where it liquifies it will just untwist real fast cuz there is no more pressure holding it. hope that makes sense. heating the springs make the metal very brittle and it loses its spring.
