what makes a 350 dangerous on a wet street that would make a built 4.3 safe? i thought horsepower made the wheels spin not the amount of cylinders?

Chevrolet: 4.3L, throttle body injection, idle to 5,500 rpm, aluminum, Performer intake manifold ... $229.95

    Camshaft ``Magnum`` Hyd.Roller 280HR Chevy 4.3L 87-Up Hyd. Roller Engine $239.95

Rebuilt 700r4 is around $500, upto $1800 depending on how good you get.

Do I need to list the prices for the heads, machinework, and the engine kit?

You put a grand into your 4.3 and somebody else puts a grand into a 350, you're probably going to get spanked at the track.... it's just a fact of life.

oh, and I forgot to mention, most of us here turn a wrench daily too.

You expect us to believe that your the only guy on the planet that can build a 4.3 with 350 hp for under a grand. Do you still think Enron is a great stock option too. There is a lot of guys here who have considered beefing up a 4.3 including me but it just is not cheap compared to the V8,And by the way I don't pay retail for parts never have never will dad owns a GM dealership so I don't know where you think you can get parts so cheap but you are out too lunch.

I have a friend who put 3 grand into a 4.3 to get it supercharged, it still gets spanked by mildly built v8's... He does have some trouble hooking up off the line, but c'mon...

Ab out the 350 in the rain........ I don't think it would matter much cause my 4.3 gets absolutely no traction on wet surfaces and didn't get traction even when the tires were brand new.
