    that 2.5 wasnt a 4 speed manual?. im dumb. i didnt know that they put a 5 speed with the 2.5?

    My '91 had the 2.5L with the 5 speed. Very common.

    It would also burn through first and scratch hard into second on dry pavement. :D 4.10 gears are good for that. Still a slug though.

    before my x-friend traded his blaze in. think it was a 91. it had the 2.5 with im guessing the 700r4 since it was auto and it had a hardtime spinning the tire in the rain with us lifting the rear. that thing suckedass

    yea i know. but it wouldnt even spin the tire on pavement or blacktop in the rain.

    my 2.8 would rip em loose, but it lost all power (what it had sucked) by 200,000 miles.i just traded a car for a 350 out of a 82'burban 9,000 original miles

    i disagree, if you have the right torque converter, at the right rpms, you can gain power with the auto cant you? i dont know if this is true with stockers tho. and i relize that is what you guys are talking about.


    im not a 100% on this, but i am pretty sure i read that in a th350 book i have. i will definatly verify, and change this if i find out i am wrong.

    The right Automatic trans setup could definately outshift any of us, making it better of the line and not missing the shift time we would. Did that make sense?:D

    i know what u mean:) scratch 1st and 2nd but the mid and top range power is shit, but i dont need that kinda power i'd get tossed in jail, burnouts are fine around here as long as ur not moving the cops dont care:D

    yeah i have a 2.8 in my truck now, i traded a 87 olds to some guy for a 350, but i have been pulled over with my truck 23 times since january 2002. i dont neet top end power, yea i take the free way every now and then but im mostly in town anyways. i dont take my truck on trips. i think that i would raither have a 4.3 or a 305..?

    my 4.3 in my other truck got about the same gas mileage as my 305 that I have now. a lot less power though.
