disc brakes on the rear

i was junk yard hopping today and came upon these... but they dont look like theyll work, it looks alot bigger than my drums... does any one know if theyll bolt up to my first gen blazer? or would i have to get the whole axle?

theyr off of a newer 2 dr blazer btw, plus they have a 00 jimmy with rear disc brakes as well, and a center shift console and new looking seats...

but if any one could give me some pointers for this as to what i need, i know i have a link saved somewhere about it, but id like to go get them next week if theyll work

well that whole thing there with the caliper and rotor, just looks like its a lot bigger than my drum... looks like it would sit my rims out farther and they hit the inner lip as it is...

heres some links i have saved with rear disc brakes

Give that a read, seems pretty straight forward, I've been looking into this swap as well. And maybe I'm just reading it wrong, but it seems like you can just pull the drum setup and switch over the disc setup without switching rear ends, but I could be wrong... rlith?

yea ive read that since my last post... but i still have no clue as to if that will work, from what i understand my rear is 59" long, but im not sure as to how long the rear end is of the blazer in the bone yard.

im still lost, cuz ive rear about the valves that some guys have changed, but some say theyve never changed anything, and theres a bunch of diff rear ends and what not... im lost

thats what the rear looks like that i want just the disc brakes off of, but i guess that would work or something, or id be better off just swapping out the whole rear.

this is what i would really like to do, just swap everything over, but the more i read the more im uncertain it will work... cuz of all the diff rear end sizes, all i would really like to do is pull the disc brakes and backing plates and what not off the new one and put on mine... but i read some where that the backing plates or mounting brakes are welded to the rear... so idk...

anyone!?

You should be able to just basically unbolt the mounting plate for the drums and bolt the one for the discs on and install the rotors/calipers. The only difference in width is going to be from the difference in thickness of the drum to the rotor.
There are only 2 rear ends that were used in the Blazers. The 7.5/7.625" and the 8.5". They just had them in different widths for 2wd, 4wd, and ZR2.

It should all swap over. You don't have the disc brake ebrake stuff available? I don't know what you'd have to do to get that working, I haven't looked at any of this stuff firsthand. For the P valve you're going to want to get one from the truck the axle came from or one with disc rears.
