Fastest S-10 I ever saw
I went to the drags at Beaver Springs Dragway on Friday for a special Nostalgia show called Flashback Friday they have every year. Beaver Springs is about an hour north east of Carlisle. There was a 2002 S-10 Extreme truck that was wild. Class called WFO. Fastest 8 cars ran heads up with no handicap start. S-10 got better every round.
His first time run.
2nd time run.
1st elimination round against a 1970 Satellite.
2nd round against a wild Monte Carlo.
Final against a 1969 Camaro.
beaver springs has got to be the most backwoods track i've ever been to, i watched them let a 10.0 second car run without doors on, never seen that anywhere else, o and no spectator entry fee sometimes

They never opened the hood all night. After a run they plugged in the battery charger and waited until the next round. In the 1st video you can hear the announcer start saying it has a 500 something cubic inch and then the engine noise drowns it out.

I guess that could happen on a regular Friday night. Last week was a special event and they had the IHRA reigional director there. Everything went by the book. If you want to see a backwood track you need to try South Mountain, a little south of Carlisle.

i've heard that south mountain is a little off too, but i've heard island dragway is the worst, no room to stop after the finish line and people somehow ending up with shucks of metal in their tires on a regular occasion, never been to either though

no way man, Gulfport Dragway. For Scrapin the Coast they let people run with shorts, no helmets, hanging out the window, no tech check in, just pay your $10 and go.
